Sustainable Purchasing & Serving the Local Community
As part of Tap Social Movement, our purpose is to make the UK a fairer place by reducing inequality and improving life-chances for some of the country’s most disadvantaged individuals whilst also reducing crime.
Sustainable purchasing and serving the local community are extensions of that purpose. It means ensuring the way we buy ingredients, packaging, equipment and services is also fair, and supports people and the planet, as well as our business. It also means supporting local communities, independent suppliers and customers and charities aligned with our mission.
In order to help deliver positive environmental, social and community impact, we commit to:
-purchasing core products (at least 50% of our non-labour expenses) from independent suppliers local (within a 50 mile radius) to where the product will be used or where the company operates
-serving at least 75% local and independent clients or customers
We intend to preserve these local commitments regardless of company growth or scale.
